The people behind the acronym AMST are twin brothers André and Mischa Stangl.
Born on 9 February 1970 in Graz, Austria, they attended the Higher Technical College for Art and Design in Graz.
For over 30 years, André und Mischa Stangl were highly successful entrepreneurs in the areas of marketing, branding, and graphic design. Throughout this period, a passion for visual art was their constant companion.
As the artist duo “AMST”, they give free rein to their creativity, and since the early 2020s, they have been dedicating themselves entirely to their art. Within just a short period of time, the twin brothers have built a rapidly expanding fan base with their highly expressive creations.
Two decades ago, during their time in business, André and Mischa Stangl created the highly successful international brand FireGirls™, a homage to firefighters worldwide who risk their lives on a daily basis.
Every single subject of the FireGirls™ brand was created and realised by the brothers themselves. The unique FireGirls™ subjects form the basis of the artistic endeavours of AMST. Printed on canvas, each image is painted using mixed media such as varnish, acrylics, or spray paint, resulting in a powerful overall effect.
