Romina Zabka

Romina Zabka, born in 1989 as Romina Talisa Grzabka in the Netherlands, is a painter who was introduced to art early in life. Her mother ran an art gallery in The Hague, providing her with early exposure to the art world. She later studied at an academy where she learned the fundamentals of painting.
Romina Zabka’s work captures the poetry of stillness. Influenced by the minimalist beauty of coastal architecture and the quiet narratives of everyday spaces, her compositions are precise yet emotionally evocative. Through the careful use of color, light, and geometry, Zabka explores solitude without sadness — moments suspended between movement and pause.
Drawing on her early exposure to art through her mother’s gallery in The Hague and formal training in painting, her imagery blurs the line between memory and place. Empty benches, isolated trees, and solitary figures recur throughout her work, creating visual metaphors for introspection and presence. Each scene feels cinematic, as if part of a larger untold story, where silence speaks and the voids are deliberate.
